Outstanding customer service and delicious food! I’m visiting Atlantic City from NYC and was craving a good, home-cooked breakfast. I’m so glad I decided to stop here. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Our waitress was incredibly polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A truly amazing experience all around!

This place is a hiden gem. We wanted a nice breakfast on the way home from the casino's and we found this on google. When we pulled up and saw the resturant we almost moved on. There was very little seating and it was a little run down. We took a chance and it was the best breakfast i have had in a long time. The homefries were hands down the best i have ever had. This is a small business and they are working with what they have. You can go to the most fancy resturant with fine china and not get this type of well made food. We will certainty be back!

TALK ABOUT A HIDDEN GEM. Travelers please don’t be lured by overpriced breakfast on the Boardwalk, your new favorite breakfast is right here. The staff: We dined in and the waitress was sweet and kind. Mike is an awesome chef and he makes amazing food. Atmosphere: The area is middle of the city, middle of a block. It’s a lot of in and out traffic of a variety of people. This is not a glamorous experience, but trust me sometimes the best food comes from a paper plate I would recommend takeout if you are unfamiliar with urban areas or just want a quiet breakfast to savor the heavenly food. The food: Now for the most important thing, the food. The waffles were crispy, sweet, made with love. I don’t know how else to describe them, I’ve never had waffles like this. They reminded me of a crispy vanilla cake and once you add the syrup you are going to fall in love. The fried chicken is fresh, crispy and made to order. It’s very flavorful, soul food fried chicken. We tried both wings and tenders. The wings were on the small side this day so they gave me an extra wing to make up for that ( I love the attention to detail in that regard). The scrambled eggs were both creamy and crispy at the same time. Perfection The grits were smooth, creamy, no lumps. Full of buttery goodness and cheese. I chose potato bread toast and even that was amazing too. They have a lot of meat options, you can get pork, turkey or beef bacon. Pork or beef sausage. Lots of swappable options if you’re meatless. I wish I had the room to try more of the menu, I will be back. And to wrap things up, their prices and value is top notch. Keep an open mind and remember that the best meals come from smaller places with big flavors. RUN don’t walk to Mike B’s cafe.

After horrible food Thursday night on the AC boardwalk, we decided to look for something outside the boardwalk for breakfast Friday morning. We landed on Mike B's Cafe.... listen Friday morning, we both had the chicken and waffles. The wings were flavorful and crispy, and the waffle reminded me of buttery delicious corn cakes, but in waffle form.... it was sooooo good we ordered extra wings to have for dinner that night with our leftover waffles!! Then, Saturday morning, we absolutely had to run it back! We both had chicken and waffles and it was STILL as good as the day before.... so good, we went back Sunday morning before heading back home! Lol. We decided to try something different... I got the hungry man's combo with meaty, perfectly cooked bacon, corned beef hash with the perfect crisp, delicious fluffy pancakes, cheesy scrambled eggs, and tender seasoned home fries Then the coffee was good! Each day we went back, the great service was the same.... we were greeted as soon as we walked in and asked if we wanted a warm drink. Each morning, we felt welcomed as we were greeted with smiles! This will definitely be the go-to when we're in town!

This was a bit of a surprise. There's a few tables and chairs but most of the customers were ordering for take out. We were grateful he had breakfast available in the early afternoon. Great service. Good food and the gentleman behind the counter cooked it all to order. He was friendly and a good cook.

Delicious food ! I felt like I was eating at my mom house . Great service from the owner himself . Small shop but the owner was very friendly , he knew every patron that came in by name & order .

Small little place but the service, food and coziness was exceptional. If you check out other ratings, you will see I am very honest, this place is a hidden gem. Comfort breakfast food and lets just say, prices are awesome!

No frills, but great food for a great price. I was staying near casino’s in Atlantic City, NJ. All the casino’s had higher- priced and not so good breakfast meals, so just a few walking blocks off the AC Boardwalk and near the local courthouse and municipality buidings, I found this place. I had the Hungry Man’s Sampler. The homemade pancakes were awesome and the grits were tasty. 13 for three eggs, 2 meats, and 2 large pancakes is a great price! I paid a little more for a side of grits, but still worth it. Friendly service. They open at 6 am, so skip the pricey meals at the casino’s, get outside and go to Mike B’s Cafe instead.
